Free hosting space for educational podcasts!

Worldbridges has just announced free hosting space (500mb) for podcasting/webcasting/videoblogging projects that comes with an offer of course management system (Moodle, Wordpress, Drupal) too.

Now is the chance to put in a proposal for a podcasting project for a centre/class/course.

But be quick, because the news is spreading and it's on a first-come-first-served basis (I've already submitted my proposal).
English Pod Song is a new project I've just started. Aimed at upper-intermediate / advanced students, the idea is to produce a weekly podcast featuring new songs and English commentary.

I thought about this after realising how difficult to listen to most 'radioshow-type' podcasts are to listen to, and I'm not sure how it will develop (if at all), but it was an interesting learning experience for me putting it together.

I've also started experimenting with the idea of students being able to leave audio comments that can be integrated into future podcasts. I'm able to do this because of the service that the Loudblog podcast content management system offers.

During the summer, I created two short 'radio programme' type podcasts with students as a project. The first is now available online at Sushi Radio, a podcast not just for EFL students, but listened to by many different people all over the world.

The founders of Sushi Radio were keen to encourage me,and have said they'd be happy to receive similar content from other students from around the world, so if any of you feel like getting involved...

Please contact me if you want more details.

Now this is what you really need for making MP3s.
